Senior Cad DesignerGAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a skilled Senior CAD Designer to join our Transportation and Infrastructure Unit within the Ohio River Valley sector. This role is based in our Fishers, Indiana office and offers the opportunity to contribute to challenging bridge and roadway projects in a collaborative, team-oriented environment that supports professional growth and career development.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and produce design plans for transportation projects, including bridges and roadwaysPerform calculations related to structural geometry, reinforcing bar layouts, and quantity takeoffsLead and manage CAD tasks to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standardsCollaborate with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teamsProvide guidance and direction to junior engineers and CAD staffEnsure adherence to company standards, procedures, and applicable DOT requirementsQualificationsExperience working with Indiana DOT and/or DOT agencies in Ohio, Kentucky, or West VirginiaProficiency in AutoCAD and Bentley software requiredExperience with OpenRoads Designer (ORD) preferredNBIS bridge inspection experience is a plusStrong technical and organizational skills with attention to detailEducation & Experience10+ years of relevant CAD/design experienceCore CompetenciesAbility to interpret, organize, and coordinate design assignments independentlyServes as a task manager for small to mid-sized projectsMaintains up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and company proceduresStrong problem-solving and technical expertise within area of specializationProject & Team LeadershipManage assigned tasks, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budgetSupport project leadership with scope definition, budgeting, and scheduling inputMentor and assist team members to maintain productivity and quality standardsCommunication & CollaborationEffectively communicate with engineers, project managers, and CAD designers across teamsCollaborate across departments to ensure coordinated project deliveryAdditional RequirementsValid driver's licenseGeneral CharacteristicsAdvanced level of skills.
