With a strong backlog across power, water, grid, and industrial markets, you'll have the stability to grow and the opportunity to shape what comes next.Job Summary: The Project Billing Associate is responsible for invoicing of assigned projects and ensures contract terms are followed regarding correct billing rates and schedules. Responsible for basic to intermediate level billings.

This position works closely with Project Accountants and Project Controls personnel. This position will also answer Project Management questions regarding project billing criteria and invoice drafts. Works under close supervision.Key Responsibilities:Generating, auditing and distributing draft invoices and/or credit memos to Project Management for review based on understanding of contractObtaining appropriate approval and distributing accordinglyEnsuring billing rates or billing schedules are correctly attached to projects and match contract termsCoordinating research and analysis activities related to invoicing as requiredResearching past due invoices and collaborating with project teams on collection activitiesCollaborating with Treasury to clean up "on account" cash receiptsSupporting project invoicing related analysis, as assigned by providing requested informationProviding support for client and annual Black and Veatch audit activitiesSupporting continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvementPrimary Internal Clients: Primary internal clients are project managers, project controls, finance managers and/or finance supervisorsMinimum Qualifications: Typically two years of experience or Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
