Project Accounting Manager | Brentwood, TN (Hybrid)
We are partnering with a growing construction-related organization in Brentwood to identify a Project Accounting Manager who will serve as a key financial partner to leadership while overseeing project accounting operations across multiple business units.
This position offers a unique blend of hands-on project accounting, financial analysis, business partnership, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will be comfortable owning project accounting processes while partnering closely with operational leaders to support business performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage project accounting activities, including job costing, revenue recognition, and financial analysis
• Partner with operational leadership on project profitability and business performance
• Oversee AIA billing, collections, contract administration, and cash flow management
• Lead and develop a small team, with opportunities for future growth
• Support forecasting, reporting, and month-end accounting activities
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of construction project accounting experience
• Experience with AIA billing and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
• Understanding of construction contracts, job costing, and WIP schedules
• Prior leadership experience or a desire to manage and develop others
• Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum is a plus
