Project Accountant Responsibilities

• Oversee financial activities across multiple construction projects, from budgeting through closeout.
• Prepare project billings, invoices, and supporting financial documentation.
• Track project costs, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Partner with Project Managers to review job costs and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Support month-end reporting, reconciliations, and accounting operations.
• Assist with subcontractor billing, payments, and compliance documentation.

Project Accountant Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in project accounting or construction.
• Strong Excel skills and experience managing financial spreadsheets.
• Exposure to billing, budgeting, job costing, or financial reconciliations.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments.
• Experience with Sage, Procore, TimberScan, or similar systems is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience will also be considered.
