- Manage day-to-day billing activities and ensure invoices are accurate and processed timely
- Support accounts payable and ensure vendors and other obligations are paid on time
- Track project financial activity and ensure expenses are accurately coded to the appropriate jobs
- Monitor project costs, revenue, and profitability and identify potential issues or variances
- Review projects for potential financial concerns and proactively raise red flags when costs or profitability are trending in the wrong direction
- Assist with identifying additional billable work and ensuring appropriate change orders are obtained
- Enter and maintain invoice information using established Excel templates and accounting systems
- Work closely with the Controller and other members of the accounting team to keep financial information accurate and up to date
- Support general accounting and bookkeeping activities as needed
- Strong foundation in accounting principles and day-to-day accounting processes
- Experience with billing, accounts payable, and/or full-charge bookkeeping
- Project accounting or job costing experience is a requirement.
- Experience with NetSuite, Quickbase, or another ERP/project accounting system is preferred.
