Project Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a Project Accountant to support our engineering and consulting teams by serving as the liaison between Accounting and Project Managers. This role is responsible for project financial support and accounts receivable, helping ensure projects stay on track financially from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  Partner with Project Managers on budgeting, tracking, financial performance, and establishing billing schedules.

  Prepare and process client invoices

  Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances

• n

  Monitor project financials, identify variances, and support forecasting

  n

• n

  Assist with monthly close and project reporting

  n

Qualifications

• n

  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  n
n
• n

  2–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a project-based environment

  n
n
• n

  Strong Excel and accounting software skills

  n
n
• n

  Familiarity with project-based accounting systems (e.g., Deltek, Ajera, or similar) a plus

  n

• n

  Excellent organization, attention to detail, and communication skills
