Progressive Pulmonary Care Unit RN (Full-Time, Night Shift)

Provides direct patient care in a high-acuity pulmonary progressive care unit, managing patients with conditions such as lung transplants, pulmonary hypertension, ventilation dependence, and other complex respiratory issues. Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver timely, effective treatment, with a focus on respiratory support weaning and patient rehabilitation. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, while promoting patient and family-centered care through education on illness management and post-discharge care planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans aligned with standards and patient goals.
• Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engages in ongoing professional development.
• Communicates effectively across care teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
• Assesses patient preferences, barriers, and cultural needs to provide personalized care.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferred.
• Licenses: Active RN license.
• Experience: Entry-level candidates or with at least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to work safely and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
