Nevus Outreach is seeking a highly organized, community-minded Programs Associate to support our evolving membership ecosystem and help deliver high-impact programming for families in the United States and around the world.
This role blends data/membership management with the development and implementation of support resources and programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, people-focused, and excited to build meaningful, supportive experiences for the CMN community.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
Program Development & Coordination (Primary Focus ~60%)
- In partnership with staff, you will help brainstorm, plan, deliver, and manage member‑facing programs, including:
- Facilitate Community Focus Groups
- Coordinate logistics, scheduling, and follow‑up for focus groups
- Capture feedback into actionable insights for steering programming, based on objectives provided by the Director of Membership & Metrics
- Resource Development & Maintenance
- Update, organize, and support the creation of resources, guides, and materials in the member portal
- Assist in producing educational and support resources for CMN
- Support Groups & Community Circles
- Plan virtual support groups, peer‑led circles, and/or topic‑specific educational sessions
- Handle scheduling, reminders, Zoom logistics, follow‑ups, and simple reporting
- Support early development of a “First 90 Days” series for new members
- Conference‑Adjacent Programming Support
- Assist with pre‑conference communications and program preparation for the 2026 Nevus Outreach Conference & Reunion
Membership Support (Secondary Focus ~40%)
- This role will also ensure that core systems remain accurate, functional, and well‑organized.
- Support management of membership onboarding, renewals, and communications
- Support staff in maintaining accurate records in our CRM with an emphasis on data cleanliness and consistency
- Pull simple reports for programming, communications, and community insights
- Assist with segmentation for email campaigns and program outreach
- Respond to member questions and provide warm, accurate, timely support
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience in program coordination, community support roles, education, or nonprofit settings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and communicate proactively
- Warm, friendly demeanor when interacting with families
- Ability to manage multiple small tasks and deadlines across a week
- Bonus (not required): Experience with rare disease communities, membership programs, support groups, curriculum/resource development, or virtual event facilitation.
Time Commitment & Compensation:
- This independent contractor role is compensated at $18.00/hour with an anticipated 8–12 hours of work per week .
- Remote‑first, with some availability during Eastern/Central U.S. business hours
- Start Date: Early January 2026
- Required attendance to support the Nevus Outreach Conference July 25–28, 2026
- Initial evaluation period of 90 days, with possible continuation through 2026
