This role will focus heavily on Power BI dashboard development, data modeling, technical documentation, and backend integration to support accurate fiscal reporting, auditing, and executive decision-making. The contractor will play a key role in designing and developing advanced dashboards, mentoring junior developers, and supporting enterprise-level reporting solutions across multiple public health programs.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, modification, and upgrades of agency computer systems supporting health servicesDevelop and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards, KPIs, and visualizations to support fiscal-year calculations, expenditure rollups, and audit-ready reportingDesign and implement data models and backend schemas to support dashboard architectureCreate and maintain monthly snapshot architectures, workflow diagrams, and data flow documentationDevelop and update technical documentation, system definitions, and data dictionariesIntegrate dashboards with supporting backend systems, including electronic document management systems (EDM) and geographic information systems (GIS)Collaborate with data analysts, system integration teams, and program stakeholders to ensure accurate and effective data visualizationMonitor backend system processes, troubleshoot issues, and resolve customer-reported problemsMentor junior developers and support agency-wide Power BI initiativesProvide administrative documentation and project-related communicationsAdhere to IT application development standards and best practicesPerform other duties as assigned by IT leadershipRequired Skills3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI3+ years of experience creating and maintaining technical documentation1+ year of experience with project management1+ year of experience with data modelingPreferred SkillsExperience with graphic design principles for data visualizationExperience using PythonExperience working with SQLInterSources Inc.
