Programmer, Administrative ServicesThe University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Programmer, Administrative Technology Services (ATS) providing high-level technical design, development, and support for a diverse portfolio of administrative systems. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of applications governing Delivery Services, Parking & Transportation, and Telecommunications, as well as ATS-developed software like Central Billing.Utilizing C#,.NET, SQL, and more, an ATS Programmer ensures that technical solutions align with the intended business use-case. This position requires a "security-by-design" approach, proficiency in Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworks, and the ability to communicate complex technical policies to departmental stakeholders.In alignment with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Secure Software Development Framework (SSDF) and Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), the Director is responsible for the entire secure software development process, including being accountable for releasing software to production and delegating responsibilities as appropriate. Programmers are responsible for all other aspects of SDLCs, including participation in an annual review of tools, frameworks, and methodologies utilized within ATS to ensure alignment with governance, compliance, and best practices.
In ATS, programming is a team-based exercise.
