Job TitleDesigning, documentation, implementation, prototyping, and testing of FPGA features on cutting-edge ultra-low power digital circuit boards for encrypted communications systems and key fill devices.The Day-To-DayDesign FPGA module and system level architectures with Verilog and/or VHDLDevelop simulations for modules and systemsSynthesizes Verilog and/or VHDL to FPGA productsDevelop timing constraints, analyze timing results, and implement design changes required to close timingGenerate and collaborate on required design documents, development requirements, specifications and verification protocolsDevelop, test and support embedded firmware for current and future productsWork closely with hardware and hardware engineers, bringing up boards, interpreting data sheets and schematicsConduct code and design reviews and participate in cross functional reviewsMaintain and control FPGA code revision historyResponsible for owning and driving technical issues to resolutionIntegrates and debugs design in the laboratoryWhat You'll NeedBachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering2-5 years FPGA design experienceFoundational knowledge of digital logic and timing considerationsStrong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with a geographically diverse teamUS citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance is requiredWhat Will Help You On The JobMSEE degree preferredFamiliarity with TCL, Perl, Python or another scripting languageExperience with high-speed interfaces like SERDES, DDR2/3/4, LVDSProven experience in debugging, diagnosing, and solving embedded designs issuesSystem Verilog design verification techniques or other sophisticated verification methodologiesExperience and familiarity with Linux-based development environmentsActive United States Secret Security ClearanceJoin our team in Carlsbad, CA, where innovation meets the serene coastal lifestyle.
