Program Systems EngineerAVIAN is seeking a Program Systems Engineer to support the Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Office (PMA-262) in Patuxent River, MD. This role provides systems engineering and technical analysis support for the MQ-4C Triton, a high-altitude, long-endurance maritime Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform.The selected candidate will play a key role across the systems engineering lifecycle, supporting avionics and communications subsystems, ensuring airworthiness, and facilitating collaboration between U.S. Navy and international partners.ResponsibilitiesThe Program Systems Engineer will:Perform systems engineering and technical analysis for avionics and communications subsystems supporting the MQ-4C Triton platformReview engineering artifacts, airworthiness documentation, and test data to assess system safety, integration, and compliance with U.S.

Navy and Commonwealth of Australia requirementsSupport the full systems engineering lifecycle, including development, production, integration, sustainment, and operational testingCoordinate and participate in technical reviews, engineering working groups, and program meetingsManage Requests for Information (RFIs) and integrate engineering inputs into the Integrated Government Schedule (IGS)Serve as a technical liaison between U.S. Navy and Commonwealth of Australia airworthiness teamsSupport execution of the Airworthiness Qualification Plan (AQP)Participate in configuration management activities and ensure engineering documentation meets disclosure and release requirements for allied operationsQualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering from an accredited college or universityThree (3) to ten (10) years of systems engineering experience supporting DoD aircraft or weapons systemsExperience in design, development, integration, and testing of hardware, software, and/or navigation, sensor, or communication subsystemsWorking knowledge of systems engineering principles, theories, and lifecycle processesFamiliarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Military Standards, and DoD/DON/NAVAIR policies and proceduresAbility to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholdersMust be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.This position requires full-time, on-site support in Patuxent River, MDSalary range: $120,000 - $160,000 (The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.)Desired additional Qualifications:Experience with NAVAIR Systems Engineering processes and Airworthiness requirementsExperience supporting Navy Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) programsMaster's degree in Engineering or related fieldTen (10) or more years of relevant experienceAbout being a part of Team AVIAN:As an employee-owner, you'll be a catalyst for progress — helping us find new opportunities with current or new customers, company efficiencies, streamline processes, and bring people and ideas together in smarter ways.
