For more than two decades, the Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering has consistently ranked among the nation's top 5 aerospace engineering programs, attracting aspiring engineers to pursue their academic journeys at the nations No. 1 public institution for aerospace engineering. Job Summary
Coordinate and provide professional and administrative support for targeted programs and/or projects and unit initiatives. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Faculty and staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: Faculty and staff. This position will supervise: NA.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Plan, execute and provide assistance for meeting and event logistics and scheduling
Job Duty 2 -
Establish schedules, oversee arrangements and provide logistics support for targeted programs and/or projects and unit initiatives
Job Duty 3 -
Evaluate, assess and report on the feasibility and sustainability of potential programs, projects and initiatives
Job Duty 4 -
Provide necessary support related to the identification and execution of adopted unit programs/projects and other unit initiatives
Job Duty 5 -
Develop, arrange/coordinate meetings and project materials for distribution, as necessary
Job Duty 6 -
Compile, organize and analyze data for use in reports for targeted programs/projects and other unit initiatives
Job Duty 7 -
Monitor and update appropriate stakeholders of progress/milestones for program/project objectives
Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Three to five years job related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing advanced administrative operations, including records management, report preparation and editing, database or spreadsheet development, application tracking, and coordination of office processes and resources.
- Experience managing communications and serving as a primary point of contact for a diverse set of stakeholders, including those at academic institutions, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private industry.
- Experience developing and disseminating content through websites, newsletters, email campaigns, social media platforms, or other communication channels.
- Experience planning, coordinating, and supporting meetings (in-person and virtual), conferences/workshops, or stakeholder events. Prior work supporting agenda development, participant communications, logistics coordination, and preparation of presentation and meeting materials.
- Experience supporting student-focused programs preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and organization skills. The ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and/or within a team environment.

Other Information
The Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Georgia Space Grant Consortium (GSGC) to support the planning, implementation, administration, and communication of statewide STEM education, workforce development, and research programs funded through NASA. This position plays a key role in coordinating program operations; supporting student, faculty, and affiliate activities; managing program communications efforts; organizing meetings and events; maintaining program records; collecting and completing required sponsor annual reporting; and assisting with partnership engagement across Georgia. The GSGC Program Coordinator will work closely with GSGC program leadership, affiliate institutions across the state, students, faculty, and external stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of consortium initiatives and compliance with program, institute, and sponsor requirements. The position requires strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment. Travel is required, including attendance at National and/or Regional Space Grant meetings at least twice annually, typically once during the spring semester and once during the fall semester, in addition to occasional in-state travel for program meetings and events. This position is ultimately contingent upon outside funding.
