Program Specialist (Farm Program)

Methodist Home for Children is seeking a Program Specialist to lead and support our unique Farm Transitional Living Program, where youth build life skills, vocational confidence, and brighter futures in a structured, farm-like residential setting. What You'll Do
Case Management & Youth Development
- Coordinate child and family team meetings and individualized service plans
- Support youth in education, vocational training, and employment opportunities
- Develop and monitor transition and aftercare plans (up to 6 months post-placement)
- Connect youth to mentors, apprenticeships, and community resources
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and case records
Program & Staff Leadership
- Provide on-site supervision of residential staff and program operations
- Oversee budgets, scheduling, property management, and daily operations
- Ensure delivery of direct treatment services consistent with agency standards
- Provide 24-hour on-call/back-up support as needed
- Foster a structured, family-style home environment
Community & Operational Engagement
- Build relationships with families, service providers, volunteers, and neighbors
- Transport youth to appointments, school, court, and community activities
- Maintain compliance with contractual and accreditation standards
- Participate in quality improvement and staff development initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related human services field (required)
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with teens; residential or at-risk youth experience preferred
- Supervisory or program leadership experience
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage
Work Environment
This is a hands-on leadership role in a dynamic residential and farm setting. You must be comfortable with:
