Join our Camp Team as a Program Specialist at Camp Twin Lakes! This is a year round position specializing in off season groups, with support during summer camp season as well.The CTL Program Specialist supports the camp by delivering quality outdoor camp experiences and providing exceptional service to guest groups during the off season.
This role is responsible for facilitating and engaging in the Outdoor Education classes for visiting school groups, leading team-building activities for retreats, and assisting with meal service for overnight groups. During the summer, this position will support our outdoor summer camp in similar ways.Essential Functions:Proficiently teach the program curriculum and conceptsAssist in development of new programsBe actively engaged in, and adjust activities to accommodate varying group needsAssist in meal proceduresCooperate on maintaining the grounds and seeing that facility equipment is used properlyAbility to relate well to children, to communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, other staff, and Y leadershipEnsure a safe experience for all participantsQualifications:Must be at least 18 years oldHigh School Diploma or GED1 Year of college course work and a minimum 24 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceBachelor's Degree preferredPrevious camp experience or experience working in a related field working with people preferredAbility and willingness to work outside in the Texas summer heatAble to pass a background check and drug testPay Rate: $17.00-$19.00/hourAbout Us: We are a not-for-profit services Association focusing on mission driven initiatives, with a vision of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities throughout 7 Texas Counties.
