nLockheed Martin (LM) Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) is seeking a Quality Engineer (QE) for a position based out of Orlando, FL. This program is a fast-paced development environment requiring technical acumen and critical thinking.
nWhat You Will Be Doing
nResponsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
n• Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
n• Supports Integrated Product Teams and various production sites with reviews of quality data on failures, yields, rework, scrap, and non-conformance aging.
n• Ability to analyze and resolve design, manufacturing, and process issues varying from basic to very complex and technically challenging.
n• Attending program corrective action meetings, identifying trends, assisting in problem resolution and ensuring responsible parties meet requirements and commitments.
n• Participating in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.
n• Performing assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001 / AS9100.
n• Evaluating the design assurance activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality.
n• Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality related issues.
n• Utilizing lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.
n• Making the final decision on acceptability of product.
n• Supporting Quality operations within a Lab Environment in which products are being manufactured, tested, and delivered to end customers.

nBasic Qualifications:
nSTEM degree at the bachelors level or higher, preferably in a Technical, Industrial or Quality Assurance related field or equivalent experience/education
nMust be able obtain a Secret level security clearance
nEngineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection of manufactured products
nAn understanding of engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods
nAbility to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics
nDemonstrated ability to use casual analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
nExperience in dispositioning of non-conforming products
nKnowledge of Configuration and Data Management
nAbility to travel 25%-50%
nDesired Skills:
nAwareness of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
nLean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
nASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CSQ) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
nThorough understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
nDemonstrated team leadership skills
nCustomer Relationship Management skills
nExperience working with Government customers
nProficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
nDemonstrated presentation skills
nEffective interpersonal skills including team building and collaboration
nEffective communication skills including written, oral, listening and technical writing
nStrong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
nSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
nClearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

nAbility to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
nWork Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
nSchedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
