Our customers are sophisticated equipment manufacturers that operate at the forefront of what is possible.This position is onsite and is based in Wilmington, MA.Position Summary:The Program Product Manager for Laser Driven Light Sources (LDLS ® ) supports the development and commercialization of LDLS products and systems and manages their lifecycle through strong cross-functional program execution and customer engagement.This role is primarily responsible for coordinating product development activities, managing schedules and deliverables, and ensuring alignment across engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams. The individual will work closely with senior product leadership to support product strategy and translate requirements into actionable plans.The role also engages directly with OEM customers, supporting technical discussions, requirements capture, and issue resolution, while maintaining a strong understanding of the product portfolio.Key Responsibilities:Program & Execution ManagementDrive cross-functional execution of product development activities across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and salesTrack schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables across multiple programsEnsure alignment between customer requirements, engineering development, and production readinessSupport coordination of new product introductions (NPI), including timelines and deliverablesMaintain organized documentation of program status, dependencies, and action itemsProduct Management SupportSupport development of product requirements, specifications, and documentation (MRDs)Assist in maintaining product roadmaps, configurations, and lifecycle trackingSupport pricing analysis, cost models, and business case developmentContribute to market research and competitive analysisCustomer & OEM EngagementInterface with OEM customers to support product specifications, requirements, and technical discussionsAssist in managing customer requests, reliability issues, and feedbackSupport preparation of technical and commercial proposalsParticipate in customer meetings, ensuring clear documentation and follow-upCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with engineering, applications, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure alignmentCommunicate effectively across technical and commercial stakeholdersSupport resolution of technical and operational issues impacting deliveryCommercial & Operational SupportAssist with preparation of presentations, datasheets, and sales enablement materialsSupport inventory planning and coordination with manufacturingMaintain accurate reports including program tracking and customer interactionsParticipate in conferences and industry events as neededMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field3+ years of experience in product, program, or customer-facing technical rolesExperience working with OEM customers strongly preferredSemiconductor capital equipment, photonics or critical subsystems experience is a plusStrong organizational and program management skillsAbility to work across cross-functional teamsStrong technical aptitude and communication with engineering teamsCustomer-facing experience managing technical discussions or requirementsStrong communication and presentation skillsAbility to operate in a fast-paced, multi-project environmentWillingness to travel domestically and internationallyPreferred Qualifications:Experience managing technical products or programs in the semiconductor, photonics, optics, laser, or scientific instrumentation industriesExperience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and product commercialization effortsKnowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) processes and toolsFamiliarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes, capital equipment, or critical subsystemsExperience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneouslyExperience developing product requirements, market requirements documents (MRDs), and business casesStrong analytical skills with experience in pricing analysis, cost modeling, and market researchExperience presenting technical information to customers, executives, and cross-functional teamsKnowledge of reliability testing, failure analysis, and customer issue resolution processesExperience with ERP systems, preferably SAPPMP certification or formal project management training is a plusMBA or advanced technical degree is a plusExperience working with international customers, suppliers, or global teamsThe compensation salary range for this role is $100,500 to $135,000.
