Program ManagerFMS Aerospace is currently seeking an experienced full-time, permanent Program Manager for our Huntsville office location. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing overall direction. This position requires someone interested in integrated design teams where design, stress, and manufacturing work together to provide rapid solutions to unique design challenges.

Another essential function for the successful candidate will be supporting junior engineers to develop their skills.ResponsibilitiesProvide the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.Lead the planning and implementation of a projectFacilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverablesCommunicate with customer the status of the projectDefine project tasks and resource requirementsDevelop full scale project plans and schedulesAssemble and coordinate project staffManage all aspects of the project budgetManage project resource allocationPlan and schedule project timelinesTrack project deliverables using appropriate toolsProvide direction and support to the project teamConstantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholdersPresent reports defining project progress, problems, and solutionsImplement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputsPerform project evaluations and assessment of resultsRequired QualificationsMinimum of a bachelor's degree in Systems Integration, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 5-10 years work experienceAbility to effectively manage time over several programsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work proficiently with remotely located employeesProficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Proficiency in English (written and spoken)Must be U.S. citizenMust currently possess or be able to receive Department of Defense Secret clearancePreferred QualificationsBackground in aviation airframe modifications is strongly preferredUnanet experience is strongly preferredDoD or Military experience is preferredExperienced with Microsoft Projects is a plusPMP certification is a plusBenefits and Perks:Industry-competitive compensation packageCompany performance-based bonus planEquity stock-based compensation packageEmployer-funded comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance for employees and dependents401k with company matchPTO & holiday payEmployer-funded life and disability insurance coveragesCompany ProfileFounded in 2013, FMS is a growing, flexible, customer-driven aircraft structural engineering and flight test company with manufacturing capability.
