This role provides leadership for program staff, oversees operational logistics, ensures exceptional participant experiences, and helps maintain safe and effective programming for children, adults, and families.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leadership, operations, community engagement, and working in a mission-focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership & OperationsOversee daily operations of assigned recreation programsCoordinate staffing schedules and program logisticsEnsure programs are properly staffed and preparedAddress day-to-day operational challenges and participant needsSupport special events, seasonal programming, and organizational initiativesStaff LeadershipAssist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training staffProvide day-to-day supervision and coachingSupport employee development and performance managementFamily & Community EngagementServe as a point of contact for families and caregiversCommunicate important updates regarding programmingBuild relationships with community partners and stakeholdersAdministrative & Financial SupportAssist with budget oversight and expense managementMaintain records, reports, and operational documentationIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and support program growthSafety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with organizational policies and safety standardsSupport incident documentation and risk management effortsHelp maintain safe and welcoming program environmentsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Human Services, Education, Business Administration, or related field preferred3–5 years of leadership, operations, or program management experienceExperience supervising teams preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsExperience working with individuals with disabilities preferredAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentCPR/First Aid certification preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to move throughout program spacesAbility to lift and move program supplies as neededAbility to actively participate in program activitiesSchedule RequirementsSeasonal flexibility is requiredSome local travel may be requiredWhy Join Us?At Achievement Centers for Children, your work directly impacts children, adults, and families across Northeast Ohio.
