About the Company

Motion Recruitment has partnered with a pharmaceutical client and seeking a Program manager to support a portfolio of pharmacy and commercial projects.

Our needs a seasoned, hands-on Senior Program Manager who can manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, connect them at the program level, and drive them through successful completion.

This person must be proactive, technically knowledgeable, financially disciplined, and comfortable working in a highly matrixed organization. They must identify risks and dependencies independently, influence stakeholders without direct authority, manage shifting priorities, and provide concise executive-level updates.

This role is a 6+ months contract opportunity and is 3 days onsite. Candidates MUST be willing to work without requiring sponsorship now or in the future are considered.

Must-Have Requirements

• PMP certification — explicitly required.
• 8–10+ years of project/program management experience.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong experience working in a matrixed organization , coordinating across technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies, scope changes, and shifting priorities proactively.
• Strong financial management experience, including budget tracking, vendor invoices, cost centers, capital versus operating expenses, and monthly financial reporting.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and influence teams without direct authority.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent.
• Ability to work onsite in Lake County, Illinois, three days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Experience with Salesforce and Scriptware , the two primary technology platforms mentioned by the hiring manager.
• Experience managing technology programs that span commercial, pharmacy, and supply chain functions.
• Technical understanding of system integrations, cross-team dependencies, and technology delivery.
• Experience with annual budgets in the multimillion-dollar range.
• Experience improving existing program plans, financial forecasts, status reports, risk logs, and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program and Project Management: Manage multiple concurrent projects and align them at the overall program level to ensure successful delivery.
2. Risk and Dependency Management: Identify risks and issues early, communicate their impact, and proactively drive mitigation and resolution.
3. Stakeholder Management: Coordinate across business stakeholders, technology teams, commercial partners, pharmacy, and supply chain.
4. Financial Management: Manage a portfolio budget of approximately $3–5 million annually, including vendor invoices, cost-center allocations, capital expenditures, operating expenses, and monthly financial tracking.
5. Executive Communication: Provide concise, accurate status updates and visibility into program progress, risks, financials, and dependencies.
6. Change Management: Navigate changing requirements, ownership, and priorities while maintaining delivery commitments. xhqgsiq
