You'd be supporting the Startups team with 1st and 3rd party events. The team at large is responsible for recruiting new startups into the Microsoft for Startups program and engaging existing startups already in the program through 1st and 3rd party events and engagements. By showing up at select events and activities, we not only have the opportunity to reach new and promising startups, but also increase Microsoft's market share in the startup ecosystem through increased brand awareness.Description:You will work closely with Microsoft internal stakeholders and event vendors to manage and execute 1st and 3rd party events, virtual events, executive dinners, and thought leadership roundtables. The successful candidate will have experience working in the startup ecosystem (i.e. understanding what this audience is looking for) and have a strong background supporting 1st and 3rd party events as well as managing virtual events. The position will be remote, primarily working from home, however some domestic travel may be necessary.The Startup Event Manager will do the following:Provide end to end support for a list of predetermined 1st and 3rd party events. Event sizes can range from 10-100,000+Establish ROB and strong communication across all stakeholders during event planningCreate and send event communications (event page creation, email communications, invitation templates, stakeholder management, etc.)Speaker & content coordinationSupport booth and swag design in some casesCoordinate exclusive partner events including dinners, happy hours, roundtables, and receptions.Track event ROI and provide reportingDigital event managementRequirements:3-5 years of event coordination or management experience working with cross-functional teamsExperience working with creative teams, creative production teams or email developer teamsDirect experience managing or executing marketing campaigns (single or multi-channel) a plusExperience working in the technology sector supporting technical eventsExperience supporting first and third-party eventsExperience running virtual webinars and/or virtual event seriesProficient in Excel, Powerpoint, and SharePoint
