Program ManagerThe Program Manager will assist in planning, executing, and tracking outcomes and deliverables as part of developing and maintaining a portfolio of community-engaged, health disparity research programs.Essential Functions (Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities)Oversee and assist with implementation of day-to-day project and budget management for community-engaged, health disparity research programs, including in collaboration with other academic institutions and community-based organizations and stakeholders.Develop and maintain systems for tracking multiple community-engaged, health disparity research program deadlines, activities, and outcomes.Develop and coordinate progress reports and presentations as required by research program sponsors or in communicating programmatic outcomes to diverse stakeholder audiences.Plan and provide logistical support for research and community stakeholder meetingsAssist with development and coordination of research grant proposals and budgetsOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities RequiredKnowledge of specific federal funding agency policies and procedures (e.g., NSF, NIH, DOE) and online submission systems.Develop and maintain systems for tracking multiple community-engaged, health disparity research program deadlines, activities, and outcomes.Familiarity with human subjects' research requirements, IRB procedures, and data governance best practices.Plan and provide logistical support for research and community stakeholder meetingsAssist with development and coordination of research grant proposals and budgetsOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, Abilities PreferredDemonstrated knowledge of program and project management methodologies.Ability to manage and manipulate large datasets accurately and apply concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations.Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities to handle multiple priorities in stressful situationsAbility to work autonomously, demonstrate a high degree of patience, and adapt to changing priorities without disruptionStrong system development skills, including high proficiency with software programsStrong computer skills, including proficiency with the full suite of Microsoft office productsStrong oral and written communication skillsEducation and Experience RequiredCompleted master's degree in a public health, community health, or related scientific fieldPrior community engagement and/or community-engaged research experiencePrior program or project management experienceEducation and Experience PreferredCompleted master's degree in a public health, community health, or related scientific fieldPrior community engagement and/or community-engaged research experiencePrior program or project management experienceLicensure, Certification or Registration RequiredLicensure, certification, or registration, if applicable.Licensure, Certification or Registration PreferredLicensure, certification, or registration, if applicable.This job description reflects the general duties and responsibilities necessary to describe the principal functions of the job, as identified, and shall not be considered an exhaustive list of job responsibilities which may be inherent in the job.
