Program ManagerProgram managers are responsible for overseeing the achievement of larger organizational goals. They coordinate efforts between different workstreams and support direct management as necessary. They lead the overall program with strong attention to strategy, implementation, and delegation with heavy engagement with stakeholders at all levels.
Program managers are highly skilled professionals who help organizations stay on schedule, on spec, and ultimately on an upward trajectory of success and growth. A successful candidate will also have product development knowledge that can help guide the teams through successful product lifecycles and ensure quality is built, delivered, and tested in scope, on time, and in partners with business partners.Primary Responsibilities:Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectivesDevelop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvementMaintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performanceOversee project teams and ensure program goals are reachedManage budget and funding channels for maximum productivityWork closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiativesManage program and project teams for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiativesIdentify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendorsDevelop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectivesWork with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the departmentAnalyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholdersSkills:Excellent interpersonal/ soft skills to aid in managing stakeholdersProject Management Professional (PMP)Agile or Agile SAFe certificate or experience being part of a scrum/ product teamSignificant experience in an advanced management roleExceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skillsOutstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processesMust Have skills:Above average soft skills with ability to lead diverse personalities/ stakeholdersStrong Program Management Skills with heavy utilization of PMBOK methodology and history of leading large scale complex software and business programsExperience in and in-depth knowledge of the agile & scrum processes & experience in balancing waterfall/ agile hybrids or software productsExperience managing 3rd party vendors is nice to haveQualifications:Degree in related discipline (Business Management, Business Administration, ect) or equivalent work experience
