We are seeking an experienced Program Manager – Hardware Engineering to lead the development and execution of next-generation Android XR Glasses Hardware Platforms . The ideal candidate will drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product, operations, and external manufacturing partners to deliver high-quality consumer hardware products on schedule and within budget.

This role requires strong expertise in hardware program management, new product introduction (NPI), product development lifecycle, phase-gate processes, stakeholder management, and consumer electronics .

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end development of Android XR glasses hardware platforms, driving overall program execution and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to design, build, validate, and launch innovative hardware solutions.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate development risks to achieve project milestones, cost objectives, and manufacturability goals.
  • Drive product development activities through all phase-gate reviews and ensure alignment across engineering and operations teams.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, and program roadmaps.
  • Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and key milestones to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Lead the resolution of critical technical and program-related issues.
  • Collaborate with development partners, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to manage product builds, schedules, budgets, and overall performance.
  • Continuously improve development processes to increase efficiency and product quality.
  • Manage overall program budgets and ensure effective resource utilization.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with JDM/OEM partners to support long-term product development initiatives.
  • Support hardware New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from prototype through mass production.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Hardware Program Management, Technical Program Management, Team Leadership, or Product Design Engineering.
  • Experience in Consumer Electronics Hardware development.
  • Strong understanding of Product Development Lifecycle and Phase-Gate Processes .
  • Experience managing Hardware NPI (New Product Introduction) and production builds.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 20% based on business requirements.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving capabilities in fast-paced product development environments.
  • Experience delivering high-volume, high-quality consumer hardware products.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex technical challenges while maintaining focus on business priorities.
  • Passion for improving engineering processes, operational efficiency, and product quality.
  • Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management, engineering tools, operations planning, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working with global engineering and operations teams.
