Contract Type: W2 only

Duration: 9+ months (Possible extension)

Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid)

Pay Range: $65-$70/hr on W2

Job Summary: Drive supply chain resiliency through early strategy development and risk assessment within mechanical and electrical manufacturing. This role partners with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate high-risk commodities by conducting gap analyses and defining multisourcing strategies. The ideal candidate will proactively address challenges and communicate trade-offs to leadership for robust product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive early supply chain sourcing strategies in partnership with program teams.
  • Define and prioritize commodity multisourcing strategies with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Evaluate high-risk commodities, communicating trade-offs and challenges to leadership.
  • Provide metrics, reporting, and reassessments at key project milestones.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with component testing and qualification procedures
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.

Must-Have Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in component engineering or a related role focused on sheet metal tray, Rack, busbars, cables, power supplies, optics etc.
  • Expertise in mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes and industry standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Industry Experience

  • Data Center Hardware and Infrastructure experience is a plus.
