What the role actually is
Skydio is hiring a New Jersey-based program manager for Drone as First Responder deployments with law enforcement customers. The role owns implementation, delivery, risk, scheduling, and customer coordination for public-safety drone programs.
The posting is customer-facing but technical. The person translates law-enforcement requirements into product and engineering execution, manages program risks, and helps ensure the platform can launch and operate in real public-safety workflows.
What you would work on
- Plan end-to-end deployment and integration work for public-safety drone programs
- Manage cost, schedule, technical requirements, and customer milestones
- Translate customer needs into product and engineering workstreams
- Coordinate contract, risk, go-to-market, support, and operational-readiness work
What they are asking for
- Customer-facing program management or professional services experience
- Experience with law enforcement, federal programs, military programs, or public-safety technology
- Ability to work with technical teams on hardware, software, operations, and systems design
- Familiarity with unmanned aircraft systems and related software is preferred
Why this one is worth a look
DFR programs are where autonomy, public safety, policy, and field operations collide. This role is interesting because it is about getting drone systems accepted into daily agency workflows, not just selling a hardware platform.
