We must carefully balance our need to lower costs while ensuring high performance, reliability, and abundant supply. You'll work with our team of engineers to build relationships with suppliers and expand the capabilities of Formlabs to directly improve our products. If you are focused and inspired with a passion for streamlining and optimization, we want you as a Global Sourcing Intern on our Global Sourcing Team.Internship Term: Fall 2026 (September - December) Commitment: Full-time Location: Onsite in Somerville, MAThe Job:Work directly with current and potential suppliers to keep our material pipeline flowingDevelop strategies to better optimize our suppliers for cost, quality, and supply resilienceAssist in supply chain planning for future product rolloutConduct market analysis to provide deep and meaningful sourcing insightsYou:Have a technical or engineering backgroundExcited to source, contact, and evaluate potential suppliers for quality, reliability, cost and capacityAble to work with a variety of teams, communicating effectively in-person and remotelyOrganized and focused, able to handle concurrent conversations and projects, documenting progress along the wayLeadership experience and exposure to project managementBonus Skills (Optional):Manufacturing and procurement experienceAdvanced use of Microsoft ExcelProduct development experienceFamiliarity with part inspection and corrective action, i.e. Quality ControlExperience with the manufacturing technologies used to make our printer parts: injection molding, machining, sheet metal stamping, bending, and forming, SMT etc.Intern Benefits & Perks:Flexible Out of Office Plan – take time when you need itSalaried bi-weekly pay scheduleAmple on-site parking & pre-tax commuter benefitsCatered on-site lunches (3x per week), snacks, beverages, & treatsCohort-based social and professional development experience for internsMany opt-in culture events across our diverse communityAnd of course… unlimited 3D printsWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.

The pay range for this role will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location and expected impact on the organization. This is a salaried role, so you will always be paid based on the assumed 40 hours per week as a full-time intern.

This position does not offer housing or relocation assistance.The bi-weekly pay range for this role is: $1,350 —$1,550 USD
