Program DirectorAs a Program Director, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing our Family Resource Center, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed services for children, youth, and families. By leading program operations, maintaining regulatory and contractual compliance, supervising staff, and fostering strong community partnerships, you'll help create supportive environments where families can access the resources they need to thrive.What We Offer:Purpose-Driven Work – Make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals, families, and communities throughout Western Massachusetts.Professional Growth – Access ongoing training, mentorship, career development, and advancement opportunities across one of the region's largest behavioral health organizations.Supportive Team Culture – Join a collaborative workplace guided by our HEART values: Humanity, Empowerment, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork.Stability & Opportunity – Build your career with a well-established organization serving Western Massachusetts since 1938.Comprehensive Benefits – Generous PTO, 403(b), educational assistance, medical, dental, vision, employee assistance programs, and more.Certified Great Place to Work – Work for an organization recognized for creating a positive and engaging employee experience.What You Will Do:Oversee daily operations and programming of the Family Resource CenterManage contractual relationships and ensure compliance with all program, state, and funding requirementsServe as the primary liaison with state agencies, including EOHHS and DCFEnsure adherence to ASO guidelines, contractual obligations, and program benchmarksCollaborate with senior leadership to monitor program performance, budgets, expenditures, and outcomesDevelop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and agenciesConduct community outreach throughout the catchment area to increase awareness and engagement with FRC servicesSupervise program staff, including Family Partners and supervisory personnelConduct trauma-informed assessments for youth and families presenting with Child Requiring Assistance (CRA) concernsCollaborate with families and staff to develop individualized family support plansProvide clinical consultation and guidance to program staffMaintain electronic health records in accordance with agency and state regulationsFacilitate groups and family-centered services based on community needsIdentify challenges, problem-solve effectively, and communicate key updates to leadership.Travel is RequiredWho You Are:An experienced behavioral health or human services leader with strong clinical and operational expertiseSkilled in program management, staff supervision, and community collaborationA trauma-informed professional committed to supporting children, youth, and familiesAn effective communicator who builds strong relationships with families, staff, community partners, and state agenciesOrganized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentCommitted to culturally responsive and inclusive practices that support diverse populationsComfortable using technology, electronic health records, and data to support program effectiveness.Master's degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field requiredLCSW, LICSW, or LMHC licensure requiredMassachusetts Child & Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) Certification requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience in program management and staff supervisionExperience working with children, youth, and families in community-based settings preferredFamiliarity with DCF, EOHHS, and other state agencies requiredValid driver's license and reliable transportation requiredWe Hire for HEART!Since 1938, BHN has delivered high-quality, culturally responsive behavioral health care, building deep roots in Western Massachusetts while expanding our impact in communities throughout the state.
