Program Director – Adolescent Residential Treatment (Behavioral Health)

Salary: $74,000–$84,000 per year

Wings Adolescent Recovery Services is seeking a passionate and experienced Program Director to lead our adolescent residential treatment program serving youth ages 13–18 with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.

As Program Director, you\'ll oversee the daily operations of the program, support and develop staff, ensure high-quality, compliant services, and help shape the continued growth of our organization.

What You'll Do

As Program Director, you will:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the daily operations of the residential treatment program.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support clinical and program staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Minnesota Rule 2960 and other applicable licensing standards.
  • Maintain and improve program policies, procedures, and quality initiatives.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, orientation, and staff training.
  • Monitor employee performance through coaching, feedback, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with organizational leadership to identify needs, solve problems, and strengthen programming.
  • Provide therapeutic services when needed to support program operations.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support the clinical team.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative culture focused on providing exceptional care to adolescents and their families.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in a behavioral science field.
  • Licensed through the Minnesota Board of Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Behavioral Health and Therapy.
  • Minimum of three years of experience providing counseling or therapy to individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master\'s degree in a behavioral science field.
  • Experience working with adolescents.
  • Previous leadership or management experience.
  • Experience in residential treatment or behavioral healthcare.
