We help people rebuild their self-esteem and reestablish their roles as productive family members through our outpatient services, which include medication-assisted treatment; diagnostic assessment, recurrence prevention and support groups, addiction education, counseling, and more.

This position reports to the COO and works collaboratively with a small home office staff in growing the program.

Current Opening

We are currently seeking a Full time Program Director for a new location we are opening in Ellsworth, ME. (Hours typically 5:30/6am-2pm) This is a unique opportunity to help build and maintain an Opioid Treatment Program from the ground up.

Position Summary

The Program Director is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction and daily operations of the clinic. This role is accountable for promoting patient-centered services, staff development, regulatory compliance, and partnering with the community.

Program Leadership & Operations

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of all day-to-day operations of the facility.
  • Champion our mission, philosophy and core values.
  • Lead the development and tracking of measurable tactics to drive the strategic plan.
  • Foster collaboration and cohesion between departments
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels to support the clinic
  • Participate in supervision, professional development, and on-going training of Everest Recovery staff.
  • Staff Administration- onboarding, payroll, performance mgmt, etc.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure clinic compliance with all state and federal regulation
  • Maintain program readiness for audits, inspections, surveys.
  • Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping and confidentiality of patient data.
  • Ensure staff compliance with training and policy requirements
  • Oversee and supervise the medication control of the Everest Recovery clinic

Quality & Performance

  • Responsible for program management and statistical evaluation to maintain patient rights and safety
  • Monitor performance improvement, effectiveness and quality processes in alignment with goals. Implement improvement plans as needed.
  • Responsible for fiscal compliance within the yearly budget guidelines

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, referral sources, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure the program is well represented at community events, forums, coalitions, network opportunities, etc.
  • Promote program visibility, brand and access for patients.

Requirements

  • A Master’s Degree OR
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a specialty in nursing/health administration, nursing/counseling education or a clinical specialty in the human services), public administration, business management or other related field; or commensurate amount of experience.
  • Experience working in an Opioid Treatment Program setting preferably in Maine, which includes supervision of others, direct service and program planning.
