Program DirectorLocation: Keller, WAReports To: Unit DirectorJob Summary: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County (BGCSC) is a non-profit organization providing young people ages five (5) to eighteen (18) with a safe and positive place to spend their time before and after school and during the summer. Clubs are strategically located in neighborhoods and are accessible to all kids.Come join a wonderful team of people on a mission to make a difference in our community and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.Under the direction of the Unit Director, the Program Director plans, organizes, supervises and coordinates programs and activities that enhance the personal growth and development of club members. The Program Director works to maintain a safe, fun, and quality environment while implementing BGCSC Cultural DNA in all activities and daily tasks.
The Program Director supports Youth Development Professional staff in their daily tasks. They will work with youth and create an environment that is safe and fun while helping members build confidence and skills. On occasion, the Program Director will assist the Unit Director in supervising Youth Development Professionals and other daily tasks when needed.Job Duties:Plan and integrate activities that give all youth a sense of belongingManages all program supplies and equipmentCreates a program schedule and organizes daily activities for club membersInvolved in the daily planning and implementation of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish Counties mission to promote a safe, inclusive, fun, and educational environmentEstablishes a program setting that ensures the health and safety of membersContributes to the creation of the overall club climate for youth developmentPlans programs and activities consistent with the organization's youth development missionProvides behavioral guidance to members using trauma-informed care practicesPromotes and markets programs to members to increase membership and daily attendanceManages Formula for Impact process to ensure priority outcomes: academic success, good character, citizenship, and healthy lifestyle.Assist Unit Director in BGCSC and BGA documentation including: My Club Hub, National Youth Outcomes Initiative, and grant trackingAssists Unit Director or Childcare Director in meeting WA State childcare licensing requirementsAssists in management of YDPs when directed, supporting their workplace successEngages in physical activities such as sports, S.T.E.M, and arts and craftsSupervises the children independently in regulation of WA state law and Boys and Girls Club of America standardPrepares snacks for children using various kitchen tools while practicing food safetyWork with a wide variety of youthEnsure youth are safe and engaged in activities, this includes all safety requirements for Boys and Girls Club such as the 10 BGCSC Policies for Protection of the YouthCreate positive and supportive relationship with youthActively practice and participate BGCSC Cultural DNA guidelines while supporting an environment that promotes Cultural DNA in all club staffMaintains organization and cleanliness of club, including but not limited to, all activity spaces, washing dishes, taking out trash, and organization of children's belongingsAbility to drive club van and transport club kids when neededSupport Youth Development Professionals in daily tasks and job dutiesReliable attendance so scheduling is accurate and in compliance with child-to-staff ratios in regards to WA State law and BGA standardsMaintain proper upkeep of equipment and suppliesActs as Unit Director's delegate as requiredJob Qualifications:Twenty-three (23) years of age or older with a clean for insurance purposesAbility to remain positive and organized in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to incorporate organizational values fun, respect, integrity, community, and acceptance into all practicesPrior experience working with youth or a background in early childhood educationPrior experience planning activities for youthPrior experience creating schedulesFlexibility to work different hours based on seasonal operational needsAbility to pass a drug test upon hireAbility to pass a background check in accordance with BGCSC standards upon hireAbility to walk or stand constantly with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to use fine motor movements with or without reasonable accommodationBenefits Offered to BGCSC Employees:Medical, dental and vision insurance (Full-time employees)Life, Accidental Death, and Dismemberment (AD&D), and Long-Term Disability insurance (Full-time employees)Employee-paid supplemental life and AD&D insurance coverage options for the employee, spouse/domestic partner, and children (Full-time employees)Flexible Spending Account and Dependent Care Assistance Plan benefits (Full-time employees)Paid Holidays (Full-time employees)Paid Vacation (Full-time employees)Paid Sick Leave (Full-time and part-time employees)Employee Discount Plan (Full-time employees)Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County membership for eligible dependents aged 5-12.
