Northwell Health is seeking a Program Director for the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program at North Shore University Hospital/Long Island Jewish Medical Center (NS/LIJ). This leadership role involves managing the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of a nationally recognized division that provides high-quality clinical care to older adults and those with serious and advanced illnesses. The successful candidate will develop and oversee a comprehensive educational curriculum, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory standards, and fostering the next generation of palliative care specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the fellowship program
  • Provide strategic direction for the fellowship program
  • Develop a comprehensive educational curriculum (both inpatient and outpatient)
  • Oversee a comprehensive educational curriculum (both inpatient and outpatient)
  • Ensure the program's full compliance with all institutional and regulatory standards
  • Foster the next generation of palliative care specialists

Compensation

  • Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125,000 to $750,000

Requirements

  • Board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a clinical practice of hospice and palliative medicine
  • At least two years of documented educational and/or administrative experience in an ACGME-accredited hospice and palliative medicine program
