This exciting opportunity involves designing, developing, and operating a new training program while maintaining a clinical practice. Practice Info

  • The Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ, is a new $975 million, 370-bed acute care hospital.
  • Valley Medical Group is a physician-led and professionally managed group practice with over 300 physicians and nearly 200 advanced practice providers in 60 adult and pediatric specialties.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and operate a new Hospice and Palliative Care training program.
  • Maintain a clinical practice at VHS.
  • Provide quality education in a clinical environment, serving diverse patients.
  • Contribute to peer-reviewed journals.
  • Work with residents to foster their interest in scholarly activity.
  • Spend 80% of time performing clinical responsibilities.
  • Spend 20% of time performing administrative responsibilities as Hospice and Palliative Care fellowship program director.

Compensation

  • Salary range of $210,000 to $220,000.
  • Competitive compensation models include generous wRVU productivity incentive with the opportunity to grow, uncapped.

Requirements

  • Degree in Medicine or Osteopathy is required.
  • BE or Certification in Palliative Care and Hospice Medicine required.
  • Minimum 3 years of Graduate Medical Education experience required.
  • GME leadership is preferred.
  • Existing or Eligibility for New Jersey Medical License, DEA, and CDS required.
  • Proven track record of academic excellence and knowledge of ACGME policies and procedures.
  • Hardworking, flexible, team player, motivated with excellent communication, critical thinking, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness for a broad scope of practice to meet the needs of the Fellowship program and the community at large.
