Summary
The Program Director is primarily responsible for monitoring all aspects of the daily operations to the ILP and the services provided to our clients, providers, consumers, etc.
Job Duties
- Project manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
- Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
- Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
- Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
- Supervise all program staff to ensure completion of job functions and delivery of quality service.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with all clients, families, funding sources and regulatory agencies as necessary to monitor quality of services.
- Promote and market program services to community agencies, families, and funding source.
- monitor clinical functions and crisis management of the program.
- monitor program revenue and oversee the budget to ensure financial accountability.
- Complete monthly expense reports.
- monitor compliance and quality assurance of the program as outlined contractually, corporate, and legal requirements (Title 17).
- Provide staff development based on needs of the client. Provide program content expertise, which may include delivering in-service training and direct programming.
- Recognize and solve potential problems and evaluate project/program effectiveness.
- Provide on call support for emergencies.
- May also coordinate project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.
- Responsible for overall quality and management of major projects or programs.
- Research any grant funding sources and develop grant proposals and evaluate project/program needs/development.
- Establish operating procedures for project/program. Ensure procedures meet program goals.
- Network with local, state and national agencies for future program development.
- Any other duties or task as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in social sevice field or a minumum of 5 years experience, 3 of which were supervision experience.
- Must have a strong knowledge of the client population.
- Must have experience of funding agencies, governmental agencies, social agencies, medical agencies judicial system, community resources, etc.
- Must have a strong financial management.
- Demonstrate experience in leading and managing complex projects that are strategic in nature and national in scope.
- Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget.
Skills
- Must be able to problem solve and display the ability to deal with crisis situations.
- Eight to ten years of experience in a senior leadership position.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a small team setting.
- Good computer skills, proficient with MS office applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both official languages is a asset.
- Experience with the federal government funding process is an asset.
- Knowledge of workforce strategies developed in other sectors is an asset.
- Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
- Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc. and their inplact on project activities is vital.
- Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence etc.)
