Program DirectorOdyssey Systems is recruiting for a Program Director to lead 180 FTEs. In this role, you will support PM Soldier Survivability (SSV), which is located at Ft. Belvoir, VA.

The support required under this effort includes engineering, quality assurance and test support, acquisition support, business management support, logistics and fielding support, operations support, and administrative support. The specific task areas include program management, analysis, planning, studies, liaison, and operations support, strategic communications, engineering and logistics support, new equipment training, system test and product fielding support, acquisition and contracting support, software development and system safety, studies and analysis and quick response support. PM SSV's mission is to equip, clothe, and protect Soldiers to maximize performance today and provide enhanced capability tomorrow.

PM SSV's products protect Soldiers and allow them to operate in any condition. Product Manager Air Warrior (PdM AW), Product Manager Soldier Clothing and Individual Equipment (PdM SCIE) and Product Manager Soldier Protective Equipment (PdM SPE) are subordinate Product Offices in PM SSV.***Contingent upon contract award***ResponsibilitiesDuties include, but are not limited to:Serves as the contractor on-site program manager.Provides day-to-day direction, management, and oversight for contractor personnel.Provides expert functional guidance to employees.Interfaces with Government management to resolve problems.Resolves contractor personnel problems and issues when identified by the Government lead or Contracting Officers' Representative (COR).Establishes priorities of work to subordinates based on Government goals and objectivesInterfaces between Government customers, COR, and ContractorPerforms other PM direct support functional rolesDistribute and balance workload in accordance with established workflows and ensure timely accomplishment of the assigned workloadGive on-the-job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practicesLead the team in assessing its strengths and weaknesses and provide leadership to the team in exploring alternatives and determining improvementsArticulate and communicate to the team the assignment, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, suspenses, and time frames for completionAssigns work to personnel according to workload, ability, and priority of assignment and provides instruction and assistance as necessary on problems or issuesResponsible for interviewing, hiring, and training contractor employeesResponsible for the performance of all contractual requirements***Contingent upon contract award***QualificationsCitizenship: Must be a US citizenMinimum Required QualificationsClearance: SecretEducation: BS/BAYears of Experience: At least 10 years of experiencePreferred Qualifications:Education: Master'sYears of Experience: At least 15 years of experienceTechnical SkillsPrevious senior management experience in the delivery of technical and management services (Program Management and Operations execution)Capability to work effectively with a broad range of people with a wide variety of technical skills and experience.Ability to react quickly in a rapidly changing environment, motivate and manage a team, and support staff.Ability/experience managing professional personnel in a defense environment.Ability/experience managing contract execution in a defense environment (hours, vacancies, funding, performance, quality)Ability/experience managing contract financial execution/tracking/expenditures in a defense environment.Ability/experience interfacing regularly with Government clients (Military and Civilian) on all aspects of contract execution.Risk management experienceDefense Acquisition System experienceInterpersonal SkillsAbility to manage multiple tasksLeadership experience with the ability to manage teamsStrong negotiation skillsetStrong personal organization skillsStrong communication skills, written and oralAdditional InformationLocation: Fort Belvoir, VA / National Capital RegionTravel: 25%***Contingent upon contract award***Company OverviewOdyssey is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
