Job Description
ProSidian seeks a Program Chemist | Environmental Management (USACE ) on a contingent basis. This role supports environmental management services for DoD/USACE and related agencies, with a focus on flood management, environmental restoration, and military construction across the Missouri River Basin. The position is located CONUS across ten states in the Midwest region and supports a federal agency within the Department of Defense. The engagement aims to deliver critical engineering services to strengthen national security, support economic growth, and mitigate disaster risks.
Seeking Program Chemist candidates with relevant Environmental Management Sector Experience to support professional services engagements for Environmental Management Sector Clients. This is a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a full-time W-2 position.
JOB OVERVIEW
Provide services as an Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) Program Chemist focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for DoD/USACE within CONUS. Region includes ten states and the Midwest area described above.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Program Chemist responsibilities include: serving as a member of the Engagement Team as Key Management Personnel, developing and overseeing chemical testing protocols, ensuring quality control in lab procedures, interpreting chemical data, and designating a Program Chemist responsible for achieving chemistry-related goals. The role requires general knowledge of remedial process chemistry, fate and transport of organics and inorganics, chemical quality control, experience with validation software and staged electronic data deliverables, and experience in sampling and analysis of toxic/hazardous chemicals in environmental matrices. Experience with emerging contaminants is beneficial. The chemist should be able to consult with Team ProSidian and Government personnel and have knowledge of ADR.NET validation software and related data deliverables. The description includes definitions of Chemical Quality Control (QC) and mentions regulatory compliance considerations in environmental testing contexts and the Department of Defense Quality Systems Manual (DoD QSM) and ELAP.
Qualifications
Desired Qualifications for Program Chemist | Environmental Management (USACE ) include extensive knowledge of chemical analysis techniques and experience in environmental chemistry. The candidate should have advanced expertise in chemical data quality management of environmental analytical data and demonstrate understanding of the UFP QAPP. Full-time W-2 employment with ProSidian is expected. A college degree in chemistry or a related field and at least three years of ERS-related experience are required.
Education / Experience / Skills
10+ years in chemistry; a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (or related field) from an accredited four-year program; Skills in chemical analysis, lab management, quality control, data interpretation; professional licensure such as Certified Chemist (CChem) or equivalent preferred.
