Responsibilities
- Responsible for quality management of the program.
- Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of curriculum in accordance with emerging trends and approval/accrediting agencies.
- Provide instruction each semester; face to face, online, in the classroom, clinical or lab setting.
- Collaborate with Admissions and Student Affairs staff to recruit, select, and retain students.
- Anticipate and recommend needed resources.
- Develop, implement, and monitor program budgets and policies and procedures to guide and support the program.
Work Schedule
Program Directors are expected to be on campus Monday through Friday, from about 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with some evening and weekend college events throughout the academic year.
Physical Requirements
Normal or corrected auditory and visual acuity. Able to use standard office equipment, including computers. Environment is climate‑controlled with occasional exposure to inclement weather when traveling between buildings. Occasional travel to other locations.
Qualifications
Surgical Technology Associate Degree required. Surgical technologist certificate required. Minimum 3 years current clinical experience in operating room practice in the scrub role required and/or 3 years as instructor in Surgical Technology.
