Make a Difference.Snapology of Lancaster is looking for a dependable, enthusiastic Program Assistant who enjoys working with children and wants to build the skills to lead engaging, hands-on programs.No teaching certification or prior experience in robotics or engineering is required.

We provide paid training, curriculum, materials, and ongoing support.This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with kids, is willing to learn, and wants meaningful part-time work with opportunities to grow. Applicants with previous experience independently leading groups of children may also be considered for a Program Facilitator position with a higher starting pay rate.Programs take place at the Snapology Discovery Center in Lancaster and at local schools and community partner locations.ScheduleThis is a part-time, variable-schedule position. Weekday daytime availability is especially important, with additional opportunities for afternoon, evening, Saturday, school-day-off, camp, and special-event programs.Schedules vary from week to week based on program demand, so a specific number of hours cannot be guaranteed.

Saturdays are typically scheduled at least every other Saturday.Additional hours may be available for program preparation, organizing materials and kits, setting up activity stations, and other on-site support.Snapology is closed on Sundays.What You'll DoAssist with hands-on building, creative, and problem-solving programs for children ages 4–14Support and engage children while reinforcing expectations and creating a positive environmentReceive paid training in program facilitation and group managementHelp prepare, set up, clean, sort, and organize program materialsWork with children at the Snapology Discovery Center and travel to local schools and community locations for field trips, programs, and special eventsCommunicate positively with children, families, coworkers, and community partnersWe’re Looking for Someone Who:Genuinely enjoys working with childrenIs friendly, patient, dependable, and enthusiasticHas weekday daytime availability and flexibility for some afternoon, evening, and Saturday shiftsIs willing to learn and comfortable receiving coachingCommunicates well and works effectively as part of a teamHas reliable transportation to the Snapology Discovery Center and local program locationsCan lift and carry program materials weighing up to 20 poundsCan obtain and maintain required Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Child Abuse, and FBI federal background clearancesHas current Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid certification or is willing to obtain required certification after hireGrow With SnapologyYou'll begin by working alongside experienced Program Facilitators and receive paid, hands-on training. As you develop your skills and demonstrate that you're ready to independently lead groups, you may be eligible to advance into a Program Facilitator position.At Snapology, we believe kids who build things become adults who build things.
