Program AssistantEstablished in 1926, Family Service League is a social services agency transforming lives and communities through mental health, addiction, housing, and essential human services with more than 60 social service programs in over 20 locations.Family Service League is seeking a full-time Program Assistant for our Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) Program located in Huntington, NY. The Program Assistant will assist the program in day-to-day front office operations.

Responsibilities include checking in clients, data entry, answering phones and a variety of administrative tasks to support the program, clients, and staff.We offer a generous benefits package including the following:Health and Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Retirement Savings Plan with a 5% employer contributionLife and AD&D InsuranceGenerous PTO (paid time off)Up to 11 paid HolidaysPaid Sick LeaveStudent Tuition Remission ProgramEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Company paid Short-Term and Long-Term DisabilityEmployee Discounts and more!Responsibilities:The Program Assistant will be responsible for answering telephones and faxes, taking and forwarding messages, and communicating with clients and staff.Assist with referrals and scheduling appointmentsMaintain, organize and file documentsUtilize an electronic requisition to order supplies within budget, assist custodian with petty cash, track and record income and expensesOversee building operations and needed maintenance and cleaning.Accept deliveries of program supplies, unpack boxes and put items awayData entry functions include entering new client data, scheduling appointments, scanning paper documents, tracking daily attendance and completing monthly billingThe Program Assistant will maintain operation of technology including phones, fax, copy machine and scannerCollaborate with multidisciplinary team and provide assistance as neededPerforming other duties as delegated by the program directorAll other duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma requiredAt least 1 year of clerical experience requiredProficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and familiarity with Electronic Health Record requiredExcellent interpersonal and communication skills requiredPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and reach as requiredAbility to lift and carry up to 25lbs on an occasional basis as needed
