Program And Technical Assistant For Emergency Medical Services Training ProgramWe are seeking a Program and Technical Assistant for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Training Program. This person will carry out a wide variety of administrative tasks to support students, staff, and activities and to maintain office workflow and quality standards at Passaic County Community College's Public Safety Academy in Wayne.This is a part time, hourly position.Example of Duties:Perform routine office functions to support departmental operationsCommunicate with students, staff, visitors, and members of the public via telephone, electronic media, and in person to provide information regarding the program, requirements, and policiesServe as a point of contact and liaison to other College departmentsRegister students for coursesMaintain program recordsPerform data entry, maintain program databases, and operate computer software programs in use at the College; review data for accuracyRun office reports as needed and requestedWork with department staff to organize and process departmental paperwork including course rosters, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, inventories, and other documentsMaintain staff and departmental calendars and schedules; schedule meetings and appointmentsMaintain file systems, logs and records in electronic and hard copy formats, including confidential filesAssist staff to obtain and compile information required for internal and external reportsAssist with maintaining office inventoryPerform other related duties, as assignedQualifications:High school diploma required; Associate degree preferredMinimum of two years' work experience in an administrative office requiredMust be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office software programsKnowledge of or experience in Emergency Medical Services a plusProven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy in a busy office environmentAbility to work independently and in diverse teams in a cooperative and professional mannerProven ability to maintain strict confidentialityThe completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The minimum hourly pay for this position is $16.Benefits:New Jersey Sick Leave: Earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with a maximum of 40 hours of leave per benefit year.
