Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Professional Services Consultant with deep expertise in Fortinet networking technologies. This role focuses on delivering high-impact network and security solutions to enterprise clients, including the design, deployment, and optimization of multi-vendor environments. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong technical depth, excellent communication skills, and a consultative approach to client engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead professional services engagements with a primary focus on Fortinet platforms.
  • Design and implement complex network architectures (LAN/WAN, wireless, SD‑WAN, security).
  • Conduct network assessments, migrations, and upgrades in multi‑vendor environments.
  • Develop and deliver Low‑Level Design (LLD) documents, implementation plans, and topology diagrams.
  • Provide expert guidance on technical solutions aligned with client business needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced networking issues across Fortinet and secondary platforms.
  • Collaborate with PMO, RMO, and EM to manage project delivery and ensure client technology services meet requirements.
  • Satisfy client technology services and solution requirements using best practices: design, plan, implement, validate, test, document, provide knowledge transfer, troubleshoot, and support.
  • Work directly with clients to gather requirements, build proof‑of‑concepts, and implement solutions.
  • Deliver consultative knowledge transfer and documentation to Logicalis’ clients.
  • Stay current with industry trends and certifications across Fortinet and secondary technologies.
  • Provide technical documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to clients and internal teams.
  • Demonstrate and actively promote an understanding and commitment to the mission of Logicalis through behaviors consistent with organizational values.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Support and conduct customer service in a manner consistent with expectations.
  • Note: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Experience :
    • 10+ years of proven technical experience, including design, implementation, and support of network and security.
    • Hands‑on experience with Fortinet Product Suite.
    • Proficient knowledge of industry‑standard network and security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, packet capture, network assessments, router/switch rack and stack, cabling, network configurations, etc.).
  • Primary Expertise :
    • FortiGate (NGFW, SD‑WAN, VPN, HA)
    • FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer
    • FortiAuthenticator, FortiToken, and FortiClient EMS
    • FortiWeb, FortiMail, FortiSandbox, FortiSIEM
    • FortiNAC, FortiSwitch, FortiAP
  • Secondary Experience (Desired) :
    • Cisco: Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki, ASA/Firepower, DNA Center, ISE
    • Palo Alto: Firewalls, Panorama, Prisma
    • Juniper: EX, SRX, MX, Mist AI, Junos OS
    • Aruba: ClearPass, AirWave, Central, Mobility Controllers
  • Additional Skills :
    • Wireless controllers and access points
    • Security policy management (ISE, ClearPass)
    • MFA integration (e.g., DUO)
    • Cloud networking (Azure, AWS, OracleCloud)
    • Protocols: IPSec, STP, OSPF, BGP, VXLAN, IPv4/IPv6
    • VMware vSphere/ESX administration
    • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Certifications Required :
    • Fortinet: NSE 4 – FortiGate Security – Required
    • NSE 5 – FortiManager & FortiAnalyzer – Required
    • NSE 6 – Specialized Security – Required
    • NSE 7 – Enterprise Firewall – Required
  • Other Skills and Abilities :
    • Excellent written and verbal skills; confidently and professionally interacts with external clients and internal teams.
    • Consult with clients in‑depth to ascertain and define needs or requirements for scope of work.
    • Self‑starter with excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
    • Outstanding time and prioritization management; multitasks to accommodate requests from multiple clients and internal requests.
    • Outstanding problem‑solving, decision‑making, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to manage very complex projects.
    • Maintains excellent client relationships and high client satisfaction ratings.
    • Ability to travel nationally to meet with clients.
    • Participates proactively in own career development.

Physical Demands

The employee is required to sit, talk, see, hear, and use hands and arms constantly; frequently required to stand, move about, climb steps, or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds.

Benefits

  • Salary: $90,000 to $122,000 plus bonus.
