This highly successful local structural engineering company is looking for a Texas Certified Professional Land Surveyor who can operate independently, lead client engagements, and ultimately take ownership of the surveying function as it meets in untapped and high local demand area for new construction ventures (including data centers)

The ideal candidate will be ready for management, initially be hands-on with clients and projects, while working closely with company leadership to develop the processes, capabilities, and strategy required to grow the surveying operation. As the division develops, you will have the opportunity to recruit and lead a team, manage the workload, develop new business, and become the face of surveying for the company.

THE ROLE:

• Lead surveying engagements independently, acting as the primary technical and client contact while delivering high-quality land surveying services across Texas.
• Build and develop a new surveying division, establishing processes, service offerings, client relationships, and the foundations for future team growth.
• Develop new business and strengthen client relationships, becoming the company's primary surveying resource and trusted advisor in the market.
• Progress into a divisional leadership position, overseeing people, projects, budgets, and strategy with support and training from experienced company leadership.

THE PERSON:

• Texas Certified Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) with the technical experience and confidence to independently lead surveying engagements.
• Entrepreneurial and commercially minded, with the ambition to build something rather than simply inherit an established department.
• Strong communicator who can build trusted relationships with clients and confidently represent surveying capabilities to new and existing customers.
• Ready to take the next step into management - whether you have previous leadership experience or are an experienced surveyor looking for your first opportunity to run a division.
