To support independent healthcare providers, the full-time Professional Fee Coder will manage charge entry, coding of clinical information, and maintain compliance with coding regulations while working remotely. Key responsibilities Receive and review charge entry data, identifying and investigating incomplete or missing charges Abstract clinical information and translate medical documentation into accurate diagnoses and procedural codes Maintain current knowledge of coding rules and regulations, reviewing coding denials and advising on resolutions Required qualifications Proficient knowledge of coding and classification systems, including AMA and CMS guidelines Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems Ability to conduct training for physicians and staff on coding and documentation practices Strong analytical skills for interpreting medical information and coding accuracy Experience in billing functions, including claim submission and denial resolution
