Job Overview

We are hiring Level 3 Vehicle Operators in Houston, TX to support the testing and operation of autonomous vehicles.

In this role, you will spend approximately 4–8 hours per day driving , with safety as the top priority. You will also support vehicle readiness, basic technology and software tasks, vehicle inspections, documentation, logistics, and provide feedback to engineering teams.

This is an opportunity to work directly with autonomous vehicle technology and gain hands-on experience in a growing industry.

Applicants must be able to provide the following before they can be submitted for consideration:

• Proof of a minimum of 3 years of driver's licensure
• Completed typing test - 45 WPM
• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving history
• Ability to meet required background screening requirements

If you cannot provide 3 years of proof of licensure and complete the typing test, we cannot move your application forward.

Pay $25.00 per hour

Additional shift pay:

• Weekend shifts: Additional 5% per hour
• Night shifts beginning at 1:00 PM or later: Additional 2% per hour
• Weekend night shifts: Up to 7% additional pay

Available Schedules

Day Shift: 6:45 AM–3:15 PM
Night Shift: 3:45 PM–12:15 AM

Available workweeks:

• Tuesday–Saturday
• Sunday–Thursday

Candidates must be comfortable working the assigned schedule, including weekends where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles for approximately 4–8 hours per day
• Support autonomous vehicle operations and testing missions
• Perform basic software operation and troubleshooting tasks
• Conduct daily preventative vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
• Maintain vehicle, equipment, and workplace cleanliness and readiness
• Assist with vehicle maintenance and logistics
• Move and store vehicles and equipment as required
• Complete required paperwork, documentation, and operational metrics
• Provide clear written and verbal feedback to engineering teams
• Work with multiple technical and operational teams
• Support additional in-vehicle and out-of-vehicle assignments as needed

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid driver's license
• At least 3 years of verifiable driver's licensure
• Excellent driving history
• Ability to drive for extended periods, including approximately 6 hours per day
• Basic vehicle knowledge and ability to perform routine vehicle checks
• Basic computer and technology skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to complete a required typing test
• Proactive, dependable, and safety-focused
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-focused environment

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience
• Military experience
• Previous professional driving, vehicle operations, automotive, testing, or similar experience
