About the Role:

Sistas Connected LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Support community integration by accompanying clients to appointments, activities, and outings
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accuratelyAdminister medications and monitor health needs as directed
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all clients
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or a related human services field preferred
• Knowledge of person-centered care practices and disability rights
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to pass a background check and any required state clearances
• Can Speak English and Spanish
