Profee Surgical Coder (CPC) - Ortho

We are seeking an experienced Certified Professional Coder with strong professional-fee outpatient surgical coding experience in Orthopedics . This position requires hands-on experience assigning ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for physician services, with a strong emphasis Orthopedic Surgery coding .

One year contract

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional-fee coding for Orthopedic surgical services.
• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes based on documentation and current coding guidelines.
• Review documentation to ensure appropriate coding and billing.
• Support reimbursement follow-up, accounts receivable, and collection activities.
• Maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer regulations.
• Stay current on coding guidelines, documentation requirements, and payer regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Strong recent experience with Orthopedic Surgery coding .
• Meditech experience
• Professional/physician coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT.
• Knowledge of physician billing and reimbursement.
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
• Coding certification: CPC, CCA, CCS-P, CPC-H, RHIA, RHIT, or related certification .
• Minimum 2 years of coding experience; 5+ years preferred .
• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred.

This role is heavily focused on Orthopedic Surgery. Candidates should have direct, hands-on experience coding these specialties.
