Production Welder - Wire Handling Assemblies

At Ace Metal Works, our spools and carriers have supported the wire, cable, and industrial materials sectors since 1946. We are growing and looking for a production welder who takes pride in precise MIG work and dependable assemblies that stand up on the job.

From blueprint to finished assembly, you'll transform mild steel components into accurate, reliable products. You'll fit parts with fixtures and jigs, weld with consistency, and finish with careful grinding, drilling, and cutting-then confirm every dimension before it rolls out.

• MIG weld steel components per drawings and specifications
• Read and interpret fabrication prints
• Fit and assemble with jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools
• Perform basic grinding, drilling, and cutting to complete assemblies
• Inspect welds and assemblies for accuracy and quality
• Maintain a safe, organized work area

• 2+ years of MIG welding experience in manufacturing or fabrication
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and measure precisely
• Hands-on experience with metalworking hand and power tools
• Sharp attention to detail and safety awareness
• Capability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and work standing, bending, and stooping for long periods
• Comfort working independently and collaborating with teammates

• Light to medium gauge steel welding experience
• Forklift or overhead crane operation
• Basic mechanical assembly skills

• 2nd Shift - Four (4) 10-hour shifts per week (3:15pm - 1:45am, M-TH)
