Production Test Engineer IIThe Production Test Engineer supports manufacturing test operations across product development, transition to production, sustained production, and depot activities. This role ensures product hardware and test equipment meet technical data package requirements, resolves test failures, and drives improvements to yield, capacity, and test efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport test activities across development, production transition, sustained production, and depot environmentsValidate product hardware and test equipment against technical data package requirementsTroubleshoot test failures and provide clear rework, repair, and fault-isolation directionDevelop and maintain test flows, capacity analysis, test instructions, drawings, manuals, and supporting system softwareLead efforts to reduce test time and improve yield, throughput, and production capacityMaintain test equipment spares, obsolescence plans, and related documentationCreate Basis of Estimates for added capacity, new test capability, and equipment obsolescence needsSupport manufacturing changes through Process Change Boards and engineering changes through Configuration Change BoardsPerform prove-in validation following approved process or configuration changesLead root cause and corrective action investigations using fault trees, failure trends, and structured problem-solving methodsSupport risk assessments, risk register reviews, and assigned project execution activitiesRequired QualificationsExperience in production test, manufacturing test, test engineering, or product qualificationExperience troubleshooting hardware, test equipment, or system-level test failuresExperience working with technical data packages, engineering drawings, test procedures, and manufacturing instructionsExperience with fault isolation, root cause analysis, corrective action, or failure investigationsAbility to improve test processes related to yield, cycle time, capacity, or efficiencyStrong technical communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Process Change Boards, Configuration Change Boards, or prove-in validationExperience maintaining test equipment documentation, spares, upgrades, or obsolescence plansExperience developing test flows, production metrics, capacity models, or test instructionsExperience creating Basis of Estimates or supporting cost and capacity planningExperience leading technical projects or supporting Cost Account Management activitiesAerospace, defense, depot, or complex electronics manufacturing experienceWhat Success Looks LikeResolves production test failures with accurate, actionable technical directionImproves test yield, capacity, and cycle time through data-driven process improvementsMaintains compliant test documentation and validates changes before releaseDrives assigned projects, corrective actions, and production improvements through completion
