Production SupervisorThe purpose of the Production Supervisor's role is to supervise the day-to-day activities of an hourly production team for a single product line to ensure manufacturing operations run according to established production specifications and schedules; volume, cost and wastage targets; and quality standards. The supervisor will coordinate training, enforce safety guidelines, and interface with other departments in support of production.Schedule: Rotating shift from days to night: 2-2-3 scheduleWhat You Bring to the Team:Supervise, train, and provide direction to production teamPlan and schedule the utilization of equipment and maintain maximum productivity levels Investigate root causes/issues that are related to scrap, process excursions, quality complaints and/or fire investigationsEnsure production team understands/complies with established operating systems in safety, environmental, quality and process controls and the company's overall policiesUtilize key operating indicators for control of product cost, material usage, machine downtime, expenditure control and other shift functionsAccurately submit hours worked to payroll for all production employees in a timely mannerTransmit production performance statistics/concerns to Production Shift Leaders, Maintenance, and Superintendent and make recommendations for improvement Prepare labor, material and equipment usage reportsMay be required to perform other related duties as assignedYour Day-to-Day:High School diploma with a minimum of 3 years of operational leadership experience in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of production processesExperience in a union environment preferredStrong aptitude for learning and understanding company policiesSolid understanding of OSHA regulations Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, OutlookWorking knowledge of SAP or ERP systemsStrong leadership skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentManages a staff of hourly 50 employees, sets direction and deploys resources. Responsible for performance evaluations, pay reviews, hiring and terminating.
