Job TitleJob DescriptionResponsibilities:Maintain a safe workplace and work culturePrimary point of contact for contractors, truckers, and other external personnel as applicableMeet budgeted production targets for both mining and strippingMaintain environmental complianceManage data capture including but not limited to SAP inputs, timecard administration, EMS system, Blast reporting, etc.Manage employee productivity, job performance, and overall production efficiencies within the quarryImplement training plans to provide employees with the necessary training to perform their job safely and effectivelyReview barriers identified during shift turn over meetings to develop and monitor action plans to overcome the obstaclesVerify procedures and work instructions are effective and being followedProvide feedback to the maintenance team to support operational objectivesEnsure compliance with work instructions to define and control the production processExecute Ore Control ProgramBasic requirements:Associate's or bachelor's degree preferredMinimum of 3 years of experience in mining environmentPositive and proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutionsUnderstanding of basic workings of heavy equipmentDetail and process oriented with strong problem resolution abilitiesMust be able to work in a team environment and willing and able to adapt to fast-paced changing environmentsKnowledge and SkillsBroad knowledge of safety programs and initiatives in areas such as:Incident investigationExecution of training programsDaily safety practices including inspections of workplaces and equipmentParticipation in MSHA inspectionsExecution of area specific safety initiativeDrilling, Blasting, Mobile Equipment operation preferredBasic knowledge of mine planning and execution preferredResource allocation and schedulingPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
